Request for Proposals on Improving Investor Protection

Proposals Accepted: March 1 – June 11

The NASD Investor Education Foundation is accepting proposals for research and/or education projects that protect retail investors from fraud. Applicants are encouraged to establish partnerships that combine research and technical expertise with the ability to influence large audiences through highly credible communications vehicles and networks. Project deliverables may include any combination of research reports, published papers and articles, communications tools, and turnkey programs.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to participate in one of the following Q&A conference calls:

• Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern
• Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern

2007 General Grant Program

Second Cycle: June 14 – August 10

The General Grant Program funds research and/or educational projects to improve investor education and protection in the United States. Priorities for 2007 include projects that focus on behavioral finance, retirement income security of older Americans, and new marketing and distribution channels for investor education. Additional priorities are specified in the Grant Guidelines.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to participate in one of the following Q&A conference calls:

• Tuesday, July 17, 2:00 pm Eastern
