Financial Education in Your Community

The FINRA Foundation, in partnership with United Way Worldwide, jointly administers this program to help community-based organizations provide effective and unbiased financial education. As an important part of this grant program, the FINRA Foundation and United Way also provide grantees with financial education resources, training and technical assistance throughout the grant term.

Between 2009 and 2014, the Financial Education in Your Community Program awarded 68 grants, totaling nearly $8.5 million, to expand the capacity of community-based organizations to develop innovative, client-centered program models able to measure improved financial well-being among participants.

The Financial Wellness at Work project leverages program models developed by community-based grantees that have demonstrated the benefits (for employers and employees) of using the workplace to advance financial wellness. In 2015 and 2016, the Foundation awarded nine $20,000 implementation grants to community-based organizations launching workplace financial wellness programs.

Application for grant funding is by invitation only. We are not currently accepting applications or queries about grant funding through these programs.
